Data protection
I. General
(1) Below we inform you about the collection of personal data when using our website.
(2) The term 'personal data' refers, with reference to the definition in Art. 4 No. 1 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (hereinafter referred to as the 'General Data Protection Regulation' or simply 'GDPR'), to all data that relates to you personally. This includes, for example, name, address, email address, and user behavior. Regarding further terminology, in particular the terms 'processing', 'controller', 'processor', and 'consent', we refer to the legal data protection definitions of Art. 4 GDPR.
(3) For matters that have an effect in Switzerland, even if initiated outside of Switzerland, the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection, hereinafter referred to as 'DPA', also applies. However, we consistently use the terms of the GDPR here. The terms of the GDPR 'personal data', 'processing', 'processor', 'special categories of data', and data portability also mean, insofar as the DPA applies, the terms used in the DPA 'personal data', 'processing', 'data processor', 'data transfer', and 'particularly sensitive personal data' according to the DPA. The legal meaning of the terms is determined in this case by the DPA.
(4) We basically process personal data only to the extent necessary for providing a functional website and the contents and services we offer. The processing of personal data generally occurs only if you have provided us with consent in the sense of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR or if the processing is permitted by legal provisions, in particular by one of the legal bases mentioned in Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) to lit. f) GDPR.
(5) Your personal data will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of storage ceases to apply. Storage may also occur if this is provided for by national or European regulations to which we are subject. In this case, blocking or deletion of the data occurs once the storage period prescribed by the respective regulations has expired. The latter does not apply if further storage of the data is necessary for the conclusion or fulfillment of a contract.
(6) As far as we rely on commissioned service providers for individual functions of our website or want to use your data for advertising purposes, we will inform you in detail about the respective processes below.
II. Responsible Party
(1) The responsible party within the meaning of Art. 4 No. 7 GDPR, the other data protection laws applicable in the member states of the European Union, and other regulations and provisions with data protection character is:

V. Processing of personal data during informational use of our website
(1) When you access our website without registering or providing us with information in other ways (‘Informational Use’), we only collect the personal data that your web browser transmits to our server. If you want to view our website, we collect the following data, which is technically necessary for us to enable you to display our website and ensure stability and security: IP address, date and time of the request, time zone difference to GMT, content of the website, access status (HTTP status), amount of data transferred, referring website, web browser, operating system, language and version of the browser.
(2) The aforementioned data is also stored in so-called log files on our servers. This data is not stored together with other personal data from you.
(3) Storing the above-mentioned data in log files serves to ensure the functionality and optimization of our website as well as to ensure the security of our information technology systems.
(4) An evaluation of this data for marketing purposes does not take place. Our legitimate interest in data processing lies in the aforementioned purposes. The legal basis for the collection and temporary storage of the aforementioned data and the log files is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f) GDPR. The aforementioned data for providing our website will be deleted when the respective session is finished. The collection of the aforementioned data for providing our website is mandatory for the operation of our website.
VI. Right of objection and possibility of removal
As far as the data processing is based on your consent or our legitimate interest, you have the right to object to the processing or to withdraw your consent at any time. Your objection or withdrawal is only effective for the future. If cookies are used and there are technical options available to deactivate them, this is indicated above. You can always contact datenschutz@liveye.de to exercise your right to object or withdraw. If you object to processing based on our legitimate interest, we may continue the processing, except in the case of direct marketing, if we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that outweigh your interests, rights, and freedoms.
VII. Recipients of data and data transfers
The processing of your personal data on the website is also partially carried out by processors, particularly the hosting of the website and the use of analysis tools. These are included solely based on a contract for processing in accordance with Art. 28 (3) GDPR. Any data transfers to third countries such as the USA take place based on the standard contractual clauses or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
VIII. Contact
(1) If you contact us via email, the personal data you provide to us with your email will be stored.
(2) In addition, we provide a contact form on our website, with which you can contact us. The data you enter into the input field will be transmitted and stored: first name, last name, email address, phone number, company name, your message.
(3) The data will be used exclusively to answer your questions. Unless explicitly stated in this privacy policy, there will be no transfer of data to third parties. Additionally, we collect your IP address and the time of sending.
(4) The processing of the above personal data serves solely to process your inquiries.
(5) The processing of additional personal data that arises from the use of the contact form available on our website is to prevent misuse as well as to ensure the security of our information technology systems.
(6) This constitutes our legitimate interest in processing your personal data. If you have given us consent for this, the legal basis for the processing of this data is Art. 6 (1) lit. a) GDPR. Furthermore, the legal basis for the processing of this data is Art. 6 (1) lit. f) GDPR. If you wish to initiate the conclusion of a contract by contacting us, Art. 6 (1) lit. b) GDPR provides an additional legal basis.
(7) The data will be deleted in accordance with statutory retention periods as soon as we have processed your request. If you contact us by email, you can object to the storage of your personal data at any time. Please note that in this case, your request cannot be further processed. You can declare the withdrawal or objection by sending an email to the email address provided in the imprint.
IX. Newsletter and promotional emails
If you grant us your consent, we may contact you for advertising purposes via email. To ensure a compliant newsletter dispatch, we use the so-called double opt-in procedure. In this process, the potential recipient can be added to a distribution list. Subsequently, the user receives a confirmation email giving them the opportunity to legally confirm their registration. Only if the confirmation occurs will the address be actively added to the distribution list. The data will only be processed for the purpose of sending the requested information and offers.
Even without explicit registration, we may use your email address to inform you about similar offers and products or updates in our online shop based on your previous orders.
For the dispatch of mailings, we use service providers who have been involved as processors according to Art. 28 GDPR.
You have the right to object to the receipt of the newsletter or other product information at any time with effect for the future, for example via the “unsubscribe” link in the newsletter. We will also inform you about the option to unsubscribe in the individual emails.
The legal basis for processing is your consent to receive the newsletter, and in other respects, our legitimate interest in maintaining existing customer contacts.
X. Registration for the planning tool and shop
You have the option to save your plans in the planning tool at app.nestorsecurity.com. To do this, you must first register a user account. We need the following information: company, first and last name, email address, and a password. For later logins, you only need to provide your email address and password. If you book or purchase a service through the user account, you will need to provide various other data that is necessary for the fulfillment of the contract entered into. The legal basis for processing this data is the necessity for fulfilling the user relationship or any contractual relationship that may have been entered into. The storage duration is generally based on the length of the contractual relationship. After its end, however, alternative legal bases may come into play, such as statutory storage periods.
XI. Payment Processing
The processing of our payment transactions is carried out through Shopify. Your payment data is collected by us and transmitted to Shopify for further processing. This also takes place exclusively for payment processing and is based on the legal basis of contract fulfillment. The processing of your data by Shopify is subject to their privacy policy, available at https://www.shopify.com/de/legal/datenschutz.
XII. Cloudflare
We use the service on our website.
Technically, the data traffic between the browser of your device and our online presence is routed through the provider's network. The provider can temporarily store, log, and analyze the data traffic to detect and fend off attacks on our online presence, for instance. According to the provider, the nearest data center is regularly used for this purpose, but data centers outside the European Union, such as in the USA, may also be used if necessary. The temporarily stored data is generally deleted within a few hours, but at the latest after three days. Additionally, the service stores cookies on your computer with your consent for optimization and analysis purposes.
We use the service to optimize the presentation of the pages of our online presence, particularly to increase the loading speed of the page content. This allows us to improve our offerings as well as the user experience for you. Furthermore, the use of the service serves the purpose of ensuring the flawless functionality of our website and protecting our online presence from attacks such as DDoS attacks.
The service transmits personal data to the USA. The EU Commission has decided that this country provides an adequate level of data protection (TADPF). The service has submitted itself to the TADPF.
The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f) GDPR.

XIII. Processing of personal data through cookies
(1) We use so-called cookies on our website. Cookies are small text files that are stored on the storage medium of your terminal device, for example, on a hard drive, and through which certain information flows to us as the entity that sets the cookie. Cookies cannot execute programs or transfer viruses to your terminal device. This website uses the following types of cookies, the scope and functionality of which are explained below.
(2) Cookies that are stored on your web browser:
Persistent cookies: These cookies are automatically deleted after a predetermined duration, which may vary depending on the cookie. You can delete these cookies at any time in your web browser settings.
(3) The processing of personal data by the aforementioned cookies serves to make the overall offering of our website more user-friendly and effective for you. Some functions of our website cannot be offered without the use of these cookies. In particular, some functions of our website require that your web browser can still be identified after a page change. If you have an account, we use the cookies to be able to identify you for subsequent visits. This prevents you from having to log in again on each visit to our website. The data processed by cookies that are necessary for providing the functions of our website are not used to create user profiles. To the extent that cookies are used for analysis purposes, they serve to improve the quality and user-friendliness of our website, its content, and functions. They enable us to track how the website, which functions, and how often they are used. This allows us to continuously optimize our offering.
(4) As far as cookies are not technically necessary, we only set them with your prior consent, which you can revoke at any time. The legal basis is § 25 Abs. 1 TTDSG in conjunction with Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a) GDPR.
(5) The aforementioned cookies are stored on your terminal device and transmitted to our server from there. You can therefore configure the processing of the data and information by cookies yourself. You can make appropriate configurations in your web browser settings through which you can, for example, refuse third-party cookies or all cookies. In this context, we would like to point out that you may not be able to use all functions of our website properly if you do so. Furthermore, we recommend a regular manual deletion of cookies and your browser history.

These technically necessary cookies are usually deleted automatically when you close your browser (session cookies); in other cases, they are deleted only after a longer period (persistent cookies). The storage duration can be viewed in your browser. The legal basis is § 25 Abs. 1 TTDSG in conjunction with Art. 6 Abs. 1 S. 1 lit. a) GDPR.
Google Maps
We use the service on our website.
This allows us to display interactive maps directly on the webpage and enables you to comfortably use the map feature. When you visit our website, the provider receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding subpage of our website. Your IP address will be transmitted in the process. This occurs regardless of whether the provider offers a user account that you are logged into or if no user account exists. If you are logged into the provider's account, your data is directly linked to your account. If you do not wish for the association with your profile at the provider, you must log out in advance. The provider stores your data as usage profiles and uses it for advertising purposes, market research, and/or needs-based design of the website. Such evaluation occurs particularly (even for non-logged-in users) for the provision of needs-based advertising and to inform other users about your activities on our website.
We use the service for optimization purposes, especially to improve your experience on our website and to make its design more user-friendly.
The service transmits personal data to the USA. The EU Commission has decided that this country provides an adequate level of data protection (TADPF). The service has submitted to the TADPF.

We use the service on our website.
The service allows us to draw attention to our offers with the help of advertising media on external websites. This allows us to determine how successful individual advertising measures are. These advertising materials are delivered by the provider via so-called "Ad Servers". We use so-called Ad Server cookies for this purpose, which allow certain parameters for success measurement, such as ad impressions or clicks by users, to be measured. If you reach our website through a corresponding advertisement, a cookie is stored on your PC by the service. They are not intended to identify you personally. Usually, the following information is stored as analysis values for this cookie: Unique cookie ID, number of ad impressions per placement (frequency), last impression (relevant for post-view conversions), opt-out information (indication that the user no longer wishes to be addressed). These cookies enable the provider to recognize your web browser. If a user visits certain pages of the website and the cookie stored on their computer has not yet expired, the provider and the site operator can recognize that the user clicked on the advertisement and was redirected to this page. A different cookie is assigned to each site operator. Cookies cannot thus be traced across the websites of other site operators. We do not collect or process any personal data in the aforementioned advertising measures. We only receive statistical evaluations made available by the provider. Based on these evaluations, we can see which of the advertising measures used are particularly effective. We do not receive additional data from the use of the advertising media; in particular, we cannot identify users based on this information. Due to the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection with the provider's server. We have no influence on the scope and further use of the data collected by the provider through the use of the service. To our knowledge, the provider receives the information that you have accessed the relevant part of our website or clicked on an advertisement from us. If you have a user account with the provider and are registered, the provider can assign the visit to your user account. Even if you are not registered with the provider or have not logged in, there is a possibility that the provider can obtain and store your IP address.
